Hardy Nutrition Consultation Fees | Expert Dietitian Services

At Hardy Nutrition Dietary Consulting, we offer personalised nutrition consultations designed to meet your unique health needs. Whether you're seeking help with weight management, eating disorders, chronic disease management, or general dietary advice, our accredited dietitians provide evidence-based, compassionate support to guide you through your health journey.

Initial Consultation

$175.00
Our comprehensive initial consultation includes a detailed nutritional assessment and personalised recommendations. We focus on understanding your specific health needs, goals, and challenges to create a tailored, actionable plan that supports long-term health and wellbeing.

Review Consultations

  • Extended Review (45 min): $125.00

  • Standard Review (30 min): $98.00

Review consultations are designed to provide ongoing support, monitor your progress, and make adjustments to your nutrition plan. These sessions ensure continued success and can be scheduled based on your individual needs.

Couples Consultation

  • Initial Consultation: $250.00

  • Review Consultation: $160.00

For couples, we recommend a 90-minute initial consultation and a 45-minute review session. This approach allows us to address both partners' nutrition goals and health needs together.

Specialised Eating Disorder Consultations

We provide expert care for individuals with eating disorders, including:

  • Anorexia Nervosa

  • Bulimia Nervosa

  • Binge Eating Disorder

  • Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

  • Atypical Eating Disorders

  • Weight Management and Obesity

Initial Consultation: $220.00

Review Consultations:

  • Extended Review (45 min): $150.00

  • Standard Review (30 min): $120.00

Our fees also include coordination and communication with your GP and other healthcare providers when required. Medicare rebates may apply for up to 20 sessions per year with a valid GP referral. Note: Concessional rates are not available for eating disorder consultations.

Medicare Rebates & Chronic Disease Management

If you have a chronic disease and a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) or Team Care Arrangement (TCA) referral from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on dietetic services.

Medicare Rebate Gap Fees:

  • Standard Consultation: $34.65

  • Extended Consultation: $94.65

  • Eating Disorder CDMP Consultations: $49.65 – $139.65 (based on session length)

For Health Care Concession Card or Pension Card holders, a reduced gap fee of $15 applies (except on Saturdays).

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be eligible for rebates on our dietetic services. Please check with your insurer and quote the following item numbers for claims:

  • Item 500 (Initial Consultation)

  • Item 600 (Review Consultation)

Your provider will inform you of your rebate entitlement.

Veterans Affairs (DVA)

We are a registered DVA provider and offer DVA-funded nutrition consultations for eligible cardholders with a valid GP referral. Speak to your GP to confirm eligibility for these services.

Appointment Policy

To claim Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP), your referral must be received prior to your consultation. If a valid referral is not provided at the time of your appointment, you will be required to pay the full fee and claim the rebate directly from Medicare.

Cancellation & Financial Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a full consultation fee charge.

  • Failure to cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice will result in a full consultation fee charge, with no rebate or refund available.

  • If rescheduling a missed appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking. Rebates may still apply after attending the rescheduled consultation.

  • Hardy Nutrition does not double-book appointments and requires 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules.

Financial Responsibility

Patients are responsible for ensuring all fees are paid in full at the time of service. Hardy Nutrition will process Medicare claims on your behalf, but if a claim is declined, patients are responsible for any outstanding balances. For private consultations, full payment is required at the time of service. Health insurance claims can be processed via HICAPS in-clinic with a valid insurance card.
