Billing Policy
Hardy Nutrition is a private billing clinic. Our fees are subject to change at any time. For the most up-to-date fees, please visit our website, check in-clinic notices, or contact our administration team.

Medicare Rebates If you have a chronic disease and a management plan from your GP, you may be eligible for five rebated allied health appointments per calendar year. Please request a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) or Team Care Arrangement (TCA) referral from your GP to access dietetic services at Hardy Nutrition.

Medicare rebates can be processed on the day of your consultation with a valid referral.

Gap Fees for Chronic Disease Management Plan Consultations:

  • Standard Consultation: $34.65 payable on the day
  • Extended Consultation: $94.65 payable on the day
  • Eating Disorder CDMP Consultations: $49.65 - $139.65 (dependent on session length)

For patients holding a Health Care Concession Card or Pension Card, a reduced gap fee of $15 applies.

Please note: Reduced gap fees do not apply on Saturdays. Standard gap fees will be charged for Saturday appointments.

Private Health Insurance If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be eligible for rebates on dietetic services. Please contact your health insurance provider and quote:

  • Item 500 (Initial Consultation)
  • Item 600 (Review Consultation)

Your provider will inform you of your rebate entitlement.

Veterans Affairs (DVA) We are a registered DVA provider and offer DVA-funded nutrition consultations for eligible cardholders with a valid GP referral. Please speak with your GP to confirm your eligibility.

Appointment Policy To claim Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP), your referral must be received before your consultation. If a valid referral is not provided at the time of your appointment, you will be required to pay the full fee. You may then claim any entitled rebates directly from Medicare.

Cancellation & Financial Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment by phone.
  • Failure to cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice will result in a full consultation fee charge, with no rebate or refund available.
  • If rescheduling a missed appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking. Rebates may still be claimed after attending your appointment.

Hardy Nutrition does not double-book appointments; therefore, we require 24 hours' notice for all cancellations or reschedules.

For cancellations, please contact Hardy Nutrition Dietary Consulting at (08) 9494 3790.

Financial Responsibility

  • Patients are responsible for ensuring all fees are paid in full.
  • Hardy Nutrition will process Medicare claims on your behalf, but if a claim is declined, patients remain responsible for outstanding balances.
  • Patients must cover any deductibles and co-payments as determined by Medicare under their chronic disease care plan.
